Vacationing Donegal family weathered Hurricane Sandy in Manhattan

Glad the Galbraith family enjoyed their visit to the Big Apple. The flooding problem wasn't caused by the rain, it was caused by the massive storm surge, rain wasn't much of a worry. I stood on Malin Head last March 6th, brutal wind, visited the graveyard where my grandparents are buried, we had to hold on to the gravestones to keep from being blown over, I've never seen wind like that in New York, Donegal people are used to it.
