virginiashow70, you still haven't explained how she could be lactating if she hasn't given birth yet.
Lulu is lovely isnt she! For more photos and info have a look at www.virginiashow.com or find us on facebook and twitter. Baileys Cow Comp is in its 28th year but the show is in its 70th! ellenfromcork - A heifer in milk for the Cow Competition really means an animal in her first lactation.
I'm confused. I thought a heifer was a young cow that hasn't given birth. If she hasn't given birth, how can she be in milk? Can someone explain?
LuLu's a nice lookin' gal. Growing up on a large farm, I've milked cows, but never one that had an udder like LuLu. My brothers and I also showed calves in 4-H for the state and county fairs for a number of years. Lots of work involved in that.
fond memories of growing up on a small farm..we loved the cows..had names for each one..then my brother used to have show animals..and my mother would prepare the animals for showing..no easy task.she loved that life ..we loved the animals...because our mother did..I still have great regard for them...Lulu looks a champ!
Funny how elephants have their udders between their front legs.If they stood bolt upright they would look almost human in their anatomy.Does that indicate intelligence?
The only reason LuLu won was because my ex-wife was out of town when the competition was held.........
