This young picture of him is a contrast to the demonic appearance of the older man, often posted here. As we now know, Father Brendan Smyth was a monster; his young appearance was surely deceptive! That was the case with serial killer Ted Bundy; most of the girls he met "swooned" over him: then he killed them!
