Tragic bride Michaela Harte murdered for $600 dollars

This is one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. But perhaps they hadn't traveled much. The first time I traveled to Puerto Rico, Mexico, we checked in and immediately dumped our suitcases and went for a swim in the 5-star hotel pool. When we returned, we found our cases had been rifled thru and extra money I thought I had hidden well was gone. (I had my handbag with me at the pool.) I learnt my lesson.

If the scumbags had asked the girl for the money she probably would have given it to them, To me they are all money hungry paki's and Ireland is full of them, See what they will do for money.

I hope the men that did this crime never see daylight again.

OMG, how tragic. They were living right. I am so sad. Eternal rest grant unto her Oh Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her, may she rest in peace. May her groom be consolled by the Grace of God as well as her parents and other relatives. God, please grant unto them your consolation and courage. Amen

To WoundedKnee: What is your point? This beautiful lady was murdered in a hotel in Mauritius (not in Ireland). Try sticking to the facts of the case, please! Our hearts go out to her husband and all their family members.

Mauritius is of course not in Ireland, but there are in fact many thousands of people from Mauritius working in Ireland. Why would that be? Why would a country that claims it has an unemployment problem, even sends thousands of its citizens as illegal aliens to the US, why would such a country have to bring people from Mauritius, about 4000 miles away, I would guess, in order to work in hotels, department stores etc.? Are the Irish too lazy or to stupid to work as a hotel receptionist, for example?

I shouldered three coffins into the same cemetery last year, all family members and this christmas I was given a gift of " Six Feet Under " the video collection. People just don't think. And now this murder in Mauritius. What a sad funeral, laid out in her wedding dress. Your question, Silling,What do you think about this ? It has lanced the wound of my current grief. Let's not torment City Girl over her comment.

Such a tragedy. A beautiful life taken and two families in horrible pain. Many people will say "she shouldn't have left her purse open"...but admit it ladies, how many of us have done exactly the same thing? My thoughts, love and prayers go out to her family.
