Cheer up, for every Irish person leaving there's a Chinaman, an Indian or a Paki arriving. Ireland will not lose population, it'll just change it. In a decade or two the only Irish in the country will be the retirees. It'll be good for the first time to have an Asian country in West Europe. President Patel will preside over the celebraations for the centenary of Indian Independence in Dublin in 2047 and water from tankers filled in the Ganghes river will permit ritual bathing in the Liffey.
