For about 2 centuries before the building of the Twin Towers began, Irish natives and their descendants made valuable contributions to the construction of America. Last Sat.(8 Sept.), my wife's D.A.R. chapter held a meeting here in our upstate home, where the guest speaker gave a talk on the U.S. Constitution. Then I discovered in the Internet that 6 of the Constitution's 39 signatories were foreign born and 4 of these were Irish natives. Many more jouranists like Kerry O'Shea are needed to inform the public of the enormous contributions the Irish have to this great nation.
