I have NEVER EVER believed in people who have said they are BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS. Look at me, I am better than you etc. Why should her hsuband step down from office. He didn't do anything wrong. I would actually get rid of her and put it down as an experience of life and get on with it.

the fake pretense of a democratic agreement by brits.

Goes to show you what hateful and hate-filled people are really like, no matter how "Christian" they claim they are. I actually wonder if what she did to that kid isn't akin to rape. As for "beachline's" childish comment, all one has to do is look at history to see how silly that notion is.

I seriously doubt Iris is anything like as mentally ill the spin would like us to believe. Claims of mental illness and "acute psychiatric care" are a well-tried and tested formula for buying time. After all the 'attempted suicide' happened on 1 March 2009 and the first reports of mental health issues wasn't until late December '09; and now that the BBC have exposed all and told the story she's suddenly in "acute psychiatric care" .... what a load of spin!!!
What is much more serious is what this affair tells us about 'poor Peter'! We know he's a control freak with a vicious temper, and there have been stories circulating for years of wife-beating, of Iris attending the Emergency Room at a local hospital, battered and bruised, of Iris being a frequent 'client' of the battered wives' centre. There's good reason to believe these stories so is it any wonder she sought comfort and loving outside the marriage. For decades the pair of them have promoted the image of the loving, devoted, caring, born-again Christian marriage - it would seem this was a triumph of image over substance!
Do I have any sympathy for either of them? Frankly NO! This is a self-inflicted disaster - What goes around comes around, you reap what you sow; and any house built on lies and deceptions will eventually fall!!

Would this story have made as many headlines if a sixty-something man had an affair with a nineteen year old girl?? I think not!!!! Apparently all of the people involved have no respect for themselves or their partners. And to be fair to all----their is much more to the story than what has been printed.

They always go into some sort of rehab' after getting caught. It gets them out of the spotlight plus they get to play the sympathy card.
