Taylor Swift purchasing a home in historic Kennedy compound
New celebrity love affair between Conor Kennedy and Swift blossoms
Reports are circulating that singer Taylor Swift has purchased a 13-room room home overlooking Nantucket Sound. The seven bedroom Cape Cod home was on the market for $4.9 million and is purported to be located in the historic Kennedy compound, according to WHDH 7 News.
A few weeks ago, pictures surfaced of Swift on a boat with the Kennedy family. The singer is said to be dating Conor Kennedy.
A man who said he works with a company directly involved in the sale of the Hyannisport home says the rumors are true. However, the Barnstable Country register of deeds has no record of the sale at this time.
Conor Kennedy has been appointed the executor of the estate of his late mother Mary, who committed suicide, and Swift has been providing emotional support for him during a very difficult time.
Taylor Swift is a self-professed fan of the famous Kennedy family, and the relatives feel the same way about her.
Rory Kennedy told website People.com: "She's awesome."
Speaking recently at the Television Critics Association summer tour in Beverly Hills, California, she revealed that Taylor is close to the whole clan.
She added: "She's a great friend of all of ours."
The 22-year-old singer has reportedly been dating the 18-year-old for some time although they only went public with their romance around July 4th.
Rory spoke about Swift at an HBO panel for 'Ethel,' the documentary she directed about the life of her mother, Kennedy matriarch Ethel Kennedy.
Grammy winner Taylor first befriended the Kennedys when Rory took her two daughters Georgia, 10, and Bridget, 8, to one of her concerts.
Ethel revealed: "Rory went to a concert with her two little girls, and that's what started it all: her children."
When asked whether she thought the country star could make a good addition to the famous clan she said: "We should be so lucky."
