Susan Boyle clear favorite to win talent show
Reality show chief Mark Burnett tells critics to lay off Susan
Susan Boyle is the clear front-runner to win tonight's Britain's Got Talent.
The Irish betting site, PaddyPower.com, has made her 8 to 11 to win the final.
Her nearest competitor Aidan Davis is 4 to 1.
Meanwhile, speaking ahead of tonight's final, the reality show king Mark Burnett, the man behind Survivor and Apprentice has warned Boyle's critics to lay off.
Burnett, who is married to Irish star Roma Downey, said the critics should leave her alone.
"It will get worse because people will go after her to try to get her riled up," Burnett said.
"But she probably won't put up with any of it. She's a blue-collar Scottish woman from a little village!"
Burnett said Boyle was an inspiration and a real find.
"I think she's an inspirational dream for ordinary-looking people everywhere to say, 'You don't have to have the stereotypical Hollywood starlet look to get attention'," he said.
"She has talent and that's what [Britain's Got Talent!] stands for."
