Irish politicians should concern themselves with the current state of economy and why our country is loosing its people in greater numbers than the 1980's to foreign shores.
Well. Seano Adams and Mc Guinness had no problem abusing standing Army orders. It now appears on a very regular basis and going much further back than first thought.
does that include the abuse of standing orders for political gain!!!
Dáil standing orders allow any deputy to raise matters of general public importance. This is a vital tool of any democracy and in line with international norms…those who seek and secure public office are answerable to the representatives of the people…
BY your very words you condone the misuse of parliament.
Of course it's a political ploy...they're politicians after all...the point is that GA has to answer for his deeds, and denials...no different to the recent treatment of Mick Wallace over his tax affairs...anyone who chooses to seek election to public office has to be prepared for public scrutiny by his political opponents...It's normal politics...the days of silencing opponents with 'a short car ride' are long over...TG
Maloney now claims that the tapes contain no information on McConville and was never discussed with Price. So my friend "called to account" for what!! a witch hunt maybe. Singling out Adams is a political ploy and well you know, but then that suits your anti-nationalist stance. Go find another crack to peep through.
Seano - Any TD can be called to account...so will he keep up the charade? If so, why?
Your lot cannot "come clean" Dano the water is to muddy.
Usual obfuscation and double-speak from Seano – wants everyone to ‘come clean’ except his ‘heroes’?
Gerry Adams TD is not required to answer any questions by the west Brits in Leinster house. Most Irish would probably agree that he was an IRA operative. The status quo fear Sinn Fein and the inroads they have made in politics, now the slur campaign is revving up to the next election.Maybe the gutless wonders in the Dail should ask for justice for the families of Dublin/Monaghan bombing. They know their British masters are responsible but like all cowering cowards they fail to act.
Interestingly I posted on this yesterday and the post accepted, checked in today and its deleted. ?
This continues to be an issue only because of comrade Gerry’s refusal to face up to his past....
Most likely Adams was a member of the IRA so what. I am amused by the term "a different Sinn Fein" I would love to know the difference as the party manifesto is still the same. In fact it's the other parties who have changed and become more right wing and fallen into line with the new neo-con middle of the road fascist dictum.
Ok Gordan lets go with your line of thinking for a moment, we want to now separate from the IRA we are going to point out that in war their were innocent victims and the IRA should pay for that - IF you take that line why do you not take the line that those who fought against the ira in that war should also be responsible for those that they kill! Majella OHare was an innocent child - you cannot persecute one side and not the other! Just because you were born on the "right side" of an imaginary line! THe way Irish people now become apologists for fighting for the recognition EVERY nation deserves is what is laughed at around the world! (being not in Ireland I can say this) Further you do not know the why or how I come to be in Melbourne! I may well be able to vote!! I may have voted!
