  What a pity this needs to be a "news" story. Some things it is simply *tacky* to pay for, but some people always will. If you don't want prostitution to be a problem in public, LEGALIZE it, control it (keep it medically safe and off the street - or beach) and TAX it! It more or less works for alcohol; why not add this to the plethora of "sin taxes" if you *really* want a balanced budget? It seems to work in a conservative state like Nevada in the U.S..

Prostitution is. and will always be the world's oldest profession. and it is men (and women in some cases) who perpetuate it, so why not make it legal and stop moralizing about it! It really is no big deal. If God didn't want us to enjoy sex, he never would have made us sexual beings. It is the ONLY reason any of us exist. Here, in America, sex is for sale in almost any town, city, etc in broad daylight although it is illegal. With all the major issues in this country, I can't imagine taxpayers' money wasted on such a petty issue!

  I have never seen this type of thing before on any beach in Donegal. I stay in a family cottage in Dunfanaghy every year and we spend a lot of time on the beaches especially Malin Head. Last time I saw anyone acting suspiciously it turned out to be Mr Adams trying to put his coat on inside out.

  Sad, very sad! I hope the police avail themselves to women seeking "out" from control by the pimps. They should be offered protection, directed to a social program, and be later available as witnesses at the pimps' trials.
