I'm reminded of the 6 young Irish ladies who were arrested by the Border Patrol as they returned from a camogie match in Canada a few months after 9/11 - because their visitors had expired. Thy were put on a train for Logan Airported and DEPORTED. None of them had ever been so much as charged with a crime, nor had any entered the U.S. illegally -merely stayed here after their visas expired. Yet the Border Patrol proudly boasted that they had "struck a blow in defence of the homeland".
