I know the fear, I live in the tiny village of Lacoste in Provence once home to the Marquis de Sade. A French doctor advised me to be very careful as there is a dormant psychopath living in the area and this person could go APE at any time with a gun and waste the lot of us. The doctor did not tell me the Psyco's name, so I can't report it to the Gendarme and furthermore, the doctor is dead. There are a lot of guns in France also.
