Saved by Jackie Onassis Kennedy Grand Central celebrates 100 years

A symbol of New York City and America on the move is celebrated having almost been lost in 1968

If it had not been for Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, a high-rise would have been built over Granc Central Station...she also saved the air-rights thieves from ruining St. Bartholemew's Church on Park Avenue as well as having Radio City Music Hall razed. She did New York City proud.
Grand Central is beautiful and lives well up to it's name.
I love seeing old grandies like this saved and maintained... a nephew had a rehearsal dinner in the old train station in Kansas City a few years back... definitely the most memorable part of the weekend...
