Is Sarah Palin losing the plot? Consider the following snippet released yesterday from Bill O'Reilly's show when he asked Glenn Beck about how he found Sarah when he interviewed her. Beck replied that she was “guarded."
O'REILLY: Guarded?
BECK: Yes, she's the most — I don't know if you've had this feeling. I've never met anybody with shields up more than Sarah Palin. She is someone, I think, that gets — people have the wrong impression of her, I think, because she knows she's swimming in a tank full of sharks. When she walked on to my set, she was Googling. She was actually getting her hair and makeup done, and she was Googling and talking to people. And I said, "So what's up?"
And she said, "I'm just doing last-minute homework."
I said, "Why?"
And she said, "Because you're going to ask me about the 25 windows."
I said, "What 25 windows?"
She said, "The Statue of Liberty. It has 25 windows. They each represent different minerals."
O'REILLY: She was actually suspicious of you?
BECK: She's suspicious of everything.
O'REILLY: But you're one of her biggest fans.
BECK: I think — I mean, Bill, you've never been set up by people that you thought were friends.
O'REILLY: Yes, I have, but you, you're just so trustworthy. You are so — you wouldn't do that.
Beck was going to ask her about 25 windows on the Statue of Liberty.
How insane is this?
Think about it this woman was almost one heartbeat away from the presidency and now she's talking about minerals and windows at the Statue of Liberty
Weird or what?

Hmmm, Sarah Palin was googling before the “Show”. The above conversation between Beck & O’Reilly is quite evident that she is among sharks, otherwise ,why disclose the private conversation… Before the “Show”? Perhaps, Beck & O’Reilly’s own self centered ratings, maybe? I hear that these two boys are in a tiff regarding each others ratings. I had believed both to be “trustworthy”. So much for that! Sarah Palin apparently had good advisors googling her. She had best stay rogue. The good ole boys are tightly knit. Christisall's post is apparently right.

Sarah Palin is a candidate for buggy Aunt kept in attic gig!
Christisall | Jan 25, 2010, 08:27 AM EST
Give her a break! She's smart, refreshing, and wonderful but does not stand a chance because she's a woman. . .

Roberts is grasping at straws. Haven't you got anything better to do with your (and our) time?
catmann | Jan 23, 2010, 07:04 AM EST
Democrats only have a love for Government Handouts. National democrats=NAZI Social Democrats= Communist That pretty well says it all.
jennyVT | Jan 23, 2010, 02:55 AM EST
Sarah Palin is still around to drive the Dems/Libs Crazy. I think that is called smart politics.

I believe Catmann has a mouse size brain and devoid of clear thinking

@catmann - Thanks - You just showed everyone what's wrong with America - whack-jobs everywhere! Get over yourself.

The more I read The More I Think This is just another Liberal Rag,And the Comments I Read Make Me Wander About The Irish. With the COMMUNIST(democrats) and their RHINO usurpers always trying to trip her up she had better be Guarded.

I think it is so funny people who consider themselves Democrats hate this woman and do everything they can to slander her as person. Palin has a love for country, God and her family. She believes that people need to step up to the plate and politics as usual needs to stop. She believes that Government needs to be accountable to the people for spending and their actions. Why does this scare people? Shouldn't all of our government heads be held to this standard? I don't understand why you would attack her yet give someone like Pelosi who is so pro abortion, mocks those of faith a free pass. As far as her so called inane meanderings what are you listening to? I also would like to ask you have you ever listened to Obama without his teleprompter? He cannot put together more than three words without stuttering, he is the great, UH
juliems | Jan 22, 2010, 08:50 AM EST
She is a cartoon of herself. Concerned about the 25 windows in the Statue of Liberty and knows nothing of the founding fathers of the US? A fun parody, see Sarah Palin mercilessly lampooned in "Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book" http://www.goingrouge.net
seanomelbourne | Jan 21, 2010, 06:07 PM EST
I am glad she has faith in "God" as no clear thinking person could have faith in her inane meanderings.

I watched Sarah Palin's interviews with O'Reilly, Beck and Hannity. She was guarded with O'Reilly because he's not above pulling a "gotcha" on her. What he did was to try and get her to call Nancy Pelosi a "nut." She didn't fall for it. I think she was creeped out by Beck. He's too emotional and needy for her. The whole interview had that feeling of "it's not you, it's me" type of thing. Like she was having to let him down easy or something. And also she knew that he was trying to get her to commit to some third party movement. She was definitely more comfortable during the Hannity interview. Going forward I can almost guarantee that she'll appear on his show much more often than the other two. As for the headline of this article, she didn't "lose it" in any of the interviews. I seriously doubt Patrick Roberts viewed any of them.
TheOldPerfessor | Jan 21, 2010, 09:21 AM EST
Good thing Glenn wasn't going to throw her a really hardball question like "What newspapers do you read?"
JosephOCasey | Jan 21, 2010, 07:55 AM EST
Umm, your headline says that Palin "lost it" on Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly. You then go on to quote from a show in which she didn't appear. Weird or What? Nice work. Is it possible that maybe she was not serious? I have no idea and neither do you. I think you have Palin Derangement Syndrome. Kinda convenient that you would quote those wackos..Beck and O'Reilly when it suits your needs. How insane is that?

Where I come from a Palin is something that stops your sheep from going into town on their own, And of course it hangs on things called Palin Posts.

freethinker, speaking for myself here, I'm not a Christian, so that entire topic is completely irrelevant, to me. BTW in the future can you please try to make your case w/out being needlessly and falsely crude toward people, and using foul language (like you did a while back)?

Posted by vincentruane on Jan 19, 2010, 08:44 PM EST Has she told deliberate lies to millions of people. I don't think so! Isn't politicians who tell bare faced lies that journalists should be going after. Actually, vincentruane she told quite a few deliberate, bare-faced lies to millions when she was running for vice-president so she's fair game!

SHIDOOBE SEZ "once again the liberal media slants a good God fearing woman" Tell me shidoobe, why must I fear god? What is it with you "Christians" and fear anyway. Why don't you learn to think for yourself.

My, my, my...where are all of these snooty, unprincipled, cheap-shot-artist, in-your-face lefties like we see below, on the OTHER article from Niall O'Dowd about last night's, ah, election in Massachussetts...? Usually that kind of topic would draw quite an assortment of them. It was, until last night, at least. Maybe they're still getting their air after such a royal gut punch -- and are staying 'safely' over here, taking crude cheap shots at Sarah Palin as a release valve, of some sort. Oh, they'll be back, I'm sure...all nice and settled back into their usual spin and denials about what's just happened to them (which cannot seriously be minimized). But for now, their absence on the other article is striking. As for that election, I'm an independent myself -- and we're also turning against Obama and his party in huge numbers (it made the crucial difference last night, once again). If a Repub can win in MASSACHUSSETTS, of all places, they can win anywhere. What seat can they NOT win, now?

Weird? I'd say fittingly lame and meaningless.

I never warmed up to Sarah Palin, but I would have had much more respect for her had she finished her job in Alaska. Becoming a contributor for Fox News? I think she put the nail in the coffin on that move. She'll be good on TV where people tune in mostly for image rather than substance.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue responds to what Massachusetts senatorial hopeful Martha Coakley said last night in a WBSM interview: When Martha Coakley, a Roman Catholic, was asked whether she supports conscience rights for health care employees, she offered a resounding “NO.” So completely wedded to the extremists in the pro-abortion community, Coakley would not allow Catholic doctors and nurses—who unlike her accept the teachings of Catholicism—to recuse themselves from participating in procedures they find morally repugnant. Coakley said that if she were asked to consider a bill that would say “if people believe that they don’t want to provide services that are required under the law and under Roe v. Wade, that they can individually decide to not follow the law. The answer is no.” When asked by host Ken Pittman about the rights of Catholics who follow the teachings of the Catholic Church, Coakley offered the separation of church and state mantra. Pittman then said, “In the emergency room you still have your religious freedom.” Coakley conceded that point but hastened to add, “you probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room.” Translated: You really don’t have a right to exercise your religious-liberty objections. This is the opinion of the attorney general, the chief law enforcement agent in the state of Massachusetts. She effectively told practicing Catholics who work in the health care industry that they ought to get another job. As far as she is concerned, those who invoke a right to conscientious objection—a staple of religious liberty—should lose. President Obama says he supports conscience rights for health care workers. The Catholic bishops support conscience rights. Survey after survey show that the American people support conscience rights. But Martha Coakley does not—she says they’re all wrong. Glad to know which side of religious liberty she is on.

"A good God fearing woman..." doesn't increase the capacity of her IQ. She's a publicity hound who quit the job she was elected to do. Her fear of being exposed is hardly newsworthy. In fact, it's yesterday's news.

IrishAndProud | Jan 20, 2010, 01:17 AM EST
Whilst some waste time concerning themselves with 'really important' things like how Sarah Palin acted on Glenn Beck (yawn), the Republican Party just picked up Ted Kennedy's old Senate seat, in supposedly-blue liberal Massachussetts...with the help of the Massachussetts people themselves (including many of my fellow Irish). If THAT seat can go GOP, what other ones cannot? That's what happens when you take your eye off the ball -- you lose things. BIG things. MAJOR things. But of course, none more major than...how Sarah Palin acted on Glenn Beck.

Did you not watch the interview???? The reason she was looking up information on the Statue of Liberty was because the Statue was used as the backdrop for the interview! So ya, she thought maybe there might be a question or 2 about it.....It seems pretty clear to me as it also did to Mr. Beck.
