Well, it's taken four years but Sarah Palin has finally learned to laugh at herself.
The former Governor of Alaska and former vice presidential candidate made a quick and at times slightly awkward visit to NBC's Today Show where she chose to reveal a little of the lighter side of the Thriller from Wasilla.
Covering herself in newspapers on the Today show set, Palin was clearly making light of her now notorious interview with former Today show anchor Katie Couric. At the time Palin, the very model of a model regional governor, could not name a single newspaper or current affairs magazine she regularly read.
Palin also joked about running into a tourist outside the Today Show studios who cried: 'Honey - I told you Tina Fey is here!'
But supporters saw the party political side of Palin emerge again when she sat down with Today host Matt Lauer and ripped into President Obama, throwing her support behind whichever GOP candidate finally emerges.
'I’ve been of the mindset that anybody but Obama would be so much better for our country,' Palin said.
'Anybody but Obama. I honestly believe that anybody running on that GOP ticket would be infinitely better.'
The New York Post noted that she was 'less than enthusiastic' about the GOP's presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney, who has been repeatedly criticized by the right and left for selling out his principles for political gain.
Palin acknowledged Romney's winning delegate count, but she maintained the race is still wide open, even allowing herself to sound slightly disappointed that Romney is in the lead.
'Anything is still possible, there can still be a bit of a shake up. But the numbers are what the numbers are,' Palin sighed.
Lauer then gamely took the opportunity to remind Palin that cracks about the media works both ways, reminding her she was a willing participant herself. 'Which technically makes you part of the lamestream media for that hour I just want you to know,' Lauer chided. 'It’s nice to have you here.'
NBC made the headlines with Palin's morning visit, the networks hardball response to the news that ABC's Good Morning America had secured Couric for a one-off simultaneously broadcast one-week gig with ABC.

Briano N.O.W. stands up for women who stand up for womens rights Palin doesn't fit the bill.

Why doesn't the N.O.W. stand up for Sarah Palin, She is a mother, a former mayor of a city, a former governor of a state, and a vice presidential candidate. It would seem this working mother should be applauded by an organization that supports women

One last word about Mrs. Palin. Go back a few years ago and any column about Palin would draw at least 70 posters on IC all defending her. Today there's a very meager turn out of 15 comments with multiples posts from a few. This has to be because people are finally seeing the “farce” she always was and hopefully they are looking at the News organizations that promoted her also as a farce.

seanomelb... IC's had this problem with the blogger software for about a year; really wish they would finally fix it. It's happened to me several times.

Hey watch game change, it must be the truth, watch an inconvenient truth, it must be the truth, watch Fahrenheit 9/11, it must be the truth, watch capitalism a love story, it must be the truth. So just so I am clear on this. Movies are your source for facts. They use to call such things propaganda now they are the lefts library.

Jimmie M - You can laugh at her too - see the movie "Game Change" which exposes what a nasty, miserable and oh so stupid woman she really is. Sarah Palin was used by NBC because Couric was on at the same time on a competing network period! She didn't even "get it" but the rest of the NBC staff did and they got the last laugh

Murph46- Katie Couric is intelligent and is highly respected in the United States - Palin's 15 minutes of fame is so over and has been for awhile now. Her swan song is the movie "Game Change" - watch it and weep! The cream (Couric) alwasy rises to the top and the sludge to the bottom of the heap.

Jimmie M. Go see 'Game Change" and see how has the last laugh (and cry)!
susan724 | Apr 04, 2012, 11:43 AM EDT
JimmieM - Dr. Evil had a heart attack? LOL!!!
susan724 | Apr 04, 2012, 11:42 AM EDT
Sarah Palin's documentary "The Undefeated" came out last July in the U.S. and only grossed $24,000!! She was so yesterday even back then nobody cared! Now the new movie about her "Game Change" exposing her for her incredibly stupid mind (no lawsuits,it is the truth about her) is so 'fricken funny and pathetic you would not believe it- shame shame on the Republican Party and Alaska for voting for such a moron! it's truly the "dumbing down" of America and the Republican U.S. candidates for President here continue this policy. There are no heads of the Harvard Law Review (Obama)candidates in this lineup nor any Rhodes Scholars (Clinton).

And then trounces her in the weeks ratings war. NBC won one. Palin won one. Couric not.
JimmieM | Apr 04, 2012, 11:03 AM EDT
There is a great quick example of the difference...Sarah can laugh at her self with a twinkle in her eye...Katie can only laugh when someone else is the butt of the joke...like when VP Cheny had a heart attack.

Steve Schmidt McCain’s/Palin’s campaign manager in 2008 lectured at a local university last week and discussed the thought process behind picking Palin for VP. Schmidt who has called Palin manifestly unprepared, untruthful, divisive and sometimes unbalanced has also said Palin would be a “Catastrophic” future pick for the GOP. He has said choosing Palin was an act of “desperation” to win. Schmidt also focused on the typical current lack of vetting which produced candidates like Palin and John Edwards both who should never been nominated. He further explained that the total vetting process in choosing Palin was done by a “few Google searches” by the campaigns Rick Davis and no one was even sent to Alaska. Schmidt who may be seen as a hypocrite to those in the GOP said of Palin: it frightens me that I played a part. All of this is well known; over 200 advisors where interviewed for the book Game Change yet the media still promotes the image of made believe image of a Sarah Palin that never existed.
Murph46 | Apr 04, 2012, 10:19 AM EDT
Sarah had better ratings than Katy!In spite of the punk ass ambush by Matt Lower than whale poop!
