Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin can't understand why so many people are appalled by Arizona's new 'show me your papers' immigration policy.

Unafraid of defending what many people consider an openly racist policy, whereby police can now arrest anyone who 'looks' undocumented, Palin is unapologetic in her support of it.

Yesterday she railed against a suburban Chicago high school for skipping a girls' basketball tournament in Arizona in protest over the state's new immigration law.

Palin said that people should help the Highland Park team get to Arizona even if the girls have to 'go rogue,' a reference to her own carefully crafted public image.

Palin said an economic and political boycott of Arizona is not the way to secure the country's borders.

But the Chicago school's district assistant superintendent Suzan Hebson says the trip 'would not be aligned with our beliefs and values,' and so the school could not participate.

Players in the northern Chicago suburb had been selling cookies to raise money to travel to the December tournament. They found out about the decision to remain at home on Monday. It is understood both the students and faculty are in support of the decision.

To date the following cities have approved boycotts of Arizona: Boston, Saint Paul,Oakland, San Diego, West Hollywood, El Paso (city and county), Boulder, San Francisco, Los Angeles.

Sarah Palin is an entertainer, not a politician. Her fans want her to be outrageous, and not worry about the predictable consequences of bad policy. Arizona's immigration law will be struck down at the first legal challenge. There's also a moral dimension to absurdly restrictive immigration laws - they oppress the poor. The Catholic Church denounces that as a sin that cries to heaven for vengeance. Viva Cardenal Mahoney!
If these IDIOTS would read our Illegal Immigration bill, they would find that it prohibits asking ANYONE for I.D. unless the have committed an infraction of any other law.
Whats wrong with people ? Don't they understand what the word illegal means ?? It means anyone who Breakes the Law. That makes them a criminal. and subject to arrest.& brought before a court of law, & if Guilty Deported ! The don't belong here. they are a Drain on our Economy. if they don;t have a legal social securty Number they don't pay Taxes. any Employer who Hires illegal workers must be arrested & subject to heavy fines . I support all law enforcement officers who stop & check IDs of suspected illegals. They have no rights as Citizens here.
This is supposed to be a nation of laws. If you are here illegaly, then you need to get out. Come across the correct way. If i get stopped by police, the first thing I have to produce is my identification. We have this clown for an Attorney General who has not even read the Arizona law, yet he says it is discriminatory. The whole problem is that the Federal government has not enforced existing laws and protected oure borders. Go to Mexico and be there illegally and you will go to jail pronto.
I agree with Sarah Palin 100%. I would like to see the same law passed in my home state of Texas. The law makers in Arizona are doing bwhat the Feds will not do.
Protesting yourself is one thing, but none of the parents were consulted on this "boycott". They're using the children as political pawns just as teachers in NJ pushed their students to protest because their governer doesn't allow for incompetence.
Good for you Sarah! The idiot moonbats who are all about "boycotting" Arizona obviously have never read the law...much like our AG Holder who admitted he hadn't read it. People just assume and that is why they fail.
Please read the law before you comment. It is only ten to twelve pages. Please read then reply.
Who would have thought....
