Another reporting masterpiece by Cathy Hayes, no doubt this woman is up for whatever Marxist-American underground equivalent of the Pulitzer they give their spin-meisters.
Get a load of the 'brilliance' on this piece:**..when later questioned she defended the administration’s decision in establishing a no-fly zone, adding failure to do so would have been “extremely chilling, deadly and indeed a stain on our collective conscience** --- And we are sure that's why the Burro-ck admin. responded with such haste when the Iranians were begging for help while being massacred by revolutionary guards last June. -- And no doubt that's why they are working so hard to stop Ahmadinejad and the ayatollahs from continuing to develop their nuclear program, which has as its goal...guess what? the genocide of the entire nation of Israel! Yes Samantha has oVomit's ear... but due to the sheer size of that sucker, can she keep holding it? ... cont'd

Samantha Powers is a progressive of the worst kind and married to another close advisor to tis president, Cass Sonstein. Together they are the most dangerous couple in America. Their Marxist beliefs are exactly what this administration was looking for. They need to go.

Hey Wildman; How you account for Henry Kessinger 56th Sec of State born Germany 17th, 1923 ? Perhaps there are separate rules for females who are not inclined toward political terrorism

She must be a blazing LIBERAL if she is speaking at Columbia. The U.S. government doesn't need her. Send her back to Ireland to clean up their mess.

great reportage! what a resume, posed in a gown and played basketball with George Clooney, almost as good as Obama's! The reportage omitted a rather important fact: The Dublin woman happens to be Mrs Cass Sunstein, wife of Obama's regulatory Czar and architect of the elimination of millions of American jobs, the end of American energy exploration and production, and, best of all, the creator of the new food police. Once Americans grow tired of eating fast food so regulated as to be tasteless, they will eat vegetables! Obama's 1st act was to close Gitmo, which is now open til they execute the perps of 9-11, one wonders what the caped crusader will do 1st in his 2nd term, or sorry, the caped, umm, the caped, uh, uh, well...

Sorry guys she is an immigrant and as that would put her fourth in line of succession to the President, then that would make her constitutionally unqualified for the post.
If you think President Obama has problems now with Birthers, wait and see what happens if he tries this.

The Irish-American Know-Nothing right wing haters are out in force on this topic with the usual Fox News, Hannity/ Limbaugh/Levin stupid talking points. Barack Obama, who will get a great welcome in Ireland next month, launched his re-election campaign today and I hope he gives the brilliant Ms. Power a bigger job in his inevitable second term.

Here we go again. I don't understand why US Presidents appoint women for the job of Sec. of State. They have to go to Egypt, Iran, Saudie and the likes. Men in these countries don't respect women and don't want to hear what they have to say on any subject. So why would we send a woman to these countries to speak on behalf United of States . I agree that this woman is not qualified for this position but Obama does't care if they are qualified. He is looking for votes. It is the same reason that he is not shutting down the Mexican boarders. All he sees is votes crossint the Rio Grand.

God saves us, Powersn is not only unqualified, but her particular liberal bias is unnerving. As a "thinker" for years at liberal think tank funded by Soros, and her major client, underwriting her salary was LIBYA --to help improve their relations with other countries. This smirking progressive is the one who name-called Hillary a "monster", but thinks eliminating Israel is probably "necessary".

WTF? The credentials for this woman advising the President on National Security is that she posed for Men's Vogue in an evening gown? She has zero experience, except that she was a reporter in Bosnia? No wonder we got sucked into this Libya crap. This is unbelievable.

>>The book argues that the Armenia, Nazi Germany, Cambodia and Rwanda genocides occurred because of government authorities averted their eyes and individuals made the choice not to intervene.<<
So the "cowboys" weren't "cowboy" enough?
No, it wasn't the vague "blame Whitey" "West's" fault. These genocides occurred because of Islamists (Armenia), socialists (National Socialist German Workers Party), communists (Pol Pot), and African tribal warfare (Rwanda and Burundi, et al).
