It's sad that the Left & Right in America are both extremist in their own way. The current Deficit Crisis proves this as both sides are blinded by their own bullshit.

there is nothing remotely left wing about the usa, especially it political miitary arnament dominated policy makers.if left wing thought is to provide a better more equal fairer society, instead of an ivy league bankster elite, bring it on,and he the fat cat,fat ass, sure dont look hungry to me.or even have the faintest idea of what its like to be poor, down trodden and ignored, thats what left wing thought is all about, the eliviation of despair, and the illumination of hope.

Hey Jarhead54, er Exmarine54, Your choice of words, "accepting the truths of history," echos the old Marist-Leninist reply to the question of What do you Believe In? The proper answer was, "History," indicating that communist style socialism was inevitable. This meant that analytical thinking was not tolorated and a knee-jerk reaction to anyone who thinks differntly was encouraged. Many of the comments illustrate this much too well.

This diabolical deviant, Rush Limbaugh, is so out of touch. He is living in the 1% of the US population and spouts negativity about the other 99%. It is so devastating to him and his ilk that the poor and disadvantaged, and other citizens that make up the 99% have differing views and practices and are not controlled by the rich old white men, that he generates propaganda to further his views. No semblance to the truth is required. He knows that the USA demographics have changed and that the "white" population is no longer in complete control, and has also recently become aware that money can't buy all the elections. He and his rich white friends are in a quandary trying to figure out how to influence the non-whites to vote Republican without allowing them to take control of the Republican Party. There are probably enough rich old white men in the party that they would rather lose the elections as long as they can buy off enough politicians to keep their wealth.

Yes, isnt it so so so sad that Mrs Limbaugh's little boi, Rushie nee Russia, is overwhelmed at the loss in November (Ma? wasnt that months ago, even last year???) alas for some, accepting the truths of history is a very difficult pill to swallow...and isnt his statement so similar to the first Lady prior to her husband's election, about embarrassment at being american,,,my didnt he jump all over that statement...I truly hope he is engulfed in an overwhelming depression...but then that would require feelings,,,and truly? Little Rushie is devoid of the ability to feel, to empathize...he can only attempt to belittle, debase, and reject....how sad a life to continue and then to look back at as he ages and acknowledge that all he stood for was to criticize and reject...he stands for nothing, only emptiness...

The Left is winning because it's smarter and harder working. Rush's myth that Democrats "win by encouraging dependency" is the opposite of the truth. The most recent election for which we have data, '08, shows that in US counties that voted heavily Dem for president, nearly one-third (32.7%) of adults had completed post-secondary education; in counties that voted Repub by 20 or more points, only one-fifth (20.4%) had post-secondary education or more. Education generally translates into higher earnings. In the 500-plus counties that voted heavily Dem, per capita income was 50% higher than in counties that voted heavily Repub. So which party encourages dependency and manipulates financially dependent people? (Data from Bill Bishop and Robert Cushing, online.)

Rush is right. The looters now run the country, and the moochers continue to vote for them.
