Show some pride and respect for the office. Even in America where we are very laid back, our representatives dress appropriate.

I can understand the reluctance towards wearing a suit, but some degree of respectful dress code is needed - turning up in a pink T-shirt isn't being respectful no matter what ANY government did to the country. At least the late Tony Gregory TD who started all this off by not wearing a neck-tie, had the common-sense to wear a sports jacket.
