Mary Richardson Kennedy was depressed, unstable and alcoholic because of the actions of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. who has tried to villify her actions which occurred as a direct result of his abandoning her. Another classic example of spousal abuse by Kennedy who can get around it because of his money and connections.

Easy to be judgmental. I don't know RFK, Jr., his estranged wife, or his children personally, so I don't know what went on in their home. I do know it's very difficult to live with alcoholics and people who are depressed and mentally and emotionally unstable as they battle their demons. ambidexter is right The 18 yr. old is an adult and can do as he wishes. In some states, 17 yr. olds are legal adults. There are no winners in a sad situation like this.

Very poor reporting here. The oldest boy is 18 and is not subject to custody.
