The article does NOT specifically state what the Republicans' plan would do to help would-be immigrants from the Emerald Isle, a country that had contributed so much to the U.S. the past 2½ centuries.
You should all go Libertarian, the only party with good immigration policies.
It ould be nice if Lamar Smith of Texas would quit being so anti Immigrant as he is and help with the Irish side of the issue. It isn't just about Hispanics as that seems to be what it is all about.
one of the many reasons that the nazi/fascist repulsive party of NO (repugs) lost so big is that they cursed the illegals and said they were voting for the Democrats which of course was one of many lies the tried to spread. They will lose in 2014 and 2016 they have no one for a candidate
Correction. I mistyped. Mr. Obama received 53% of the votes for president in 2012. So 47% voted for somebody other than Obama.
Poor presidential election return!?!? Come on now. If you look at the results it does not look poor. Obama only got 43% of the vote. That means that 47% of the nation (almost half the nation) is against him. The largest landslide in the history of presidential elections was won by Lyndon B. Johnson at 61% of the vote. That was a clear mandate. While 61% of the voters chose Johnson, only 39% went elsewhere. So "poor election return" is a "poor choice of words." my dear Mr. Editor.
Name Calling aside, this is not about pseudo-psyological terms. This is about laws, and economical problems created by illegal immigration. The Tea Party will stop this.
We'll see how long the Republicans can keep their Xenophobes in check. Last time under Bush it lasted all of a week. This bunch make the Know-Nothings look like immigrant lovers.
