So called "republican dissidents" are not necessarily synonymous with vigilante group - Republican Action Against Drugs (RAAD). The tragic history of Ireland in relation with the neighbouring island is that long periods of constitutionality has been interspeced with abbreviated periods of physical force republican reaction to irredentist imperialism.
