Unbelievably sad. I agree with "simplesandy" there are places were one can go to be clothed and fed. Perhaps she was too proud; I don't know.
May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

That's so sad. Not just that she died, but that she apparently never had the chance to live.

Such a tragic and ignominious end to a life. RIP Mary Grace Farrell.

I am sorry for this woman and her family...but I have to say the Americans get a bad rep for not helping people when I know for a fact there are places people can go and are clothed .fed..Warm shelter. and counseling...you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink...is it possible this woman was on here own because she chose to be and didn’t seek any help ..Maybe falling in the snow and ice where no one saw her lying there. I can not say I was not there..But if I was I would have done something. I believe there is help out there for everyone ..you have to seek it..It does not know your needs till you tell them.

So, so terribly sad! Wonder if Grace was seeking solace by making a connection to her homeland....thru St. Brigid's Church. This should not have to happen to ANYONE. Every night I include in my prayers a wish that all homeless will find food & shelter.....Grace will be in my prayers tonight. God be with you.....

This is a sadness beyond comprehension, Nobody BUT nobody should go hungry or spend a night out in below zero weather in this country. We throw enough food out that would feed the third world. Every one that reads this should just take a moment out of their day and breath a prayer or two for this poor girl. It is actually heart breaking. Ar Laimh deas Dia go raibh a Anam."May her soul be at the right hand of God".

May she rest in peace, her pain is now gone and God welcomes her home. This should never happen in the USA, especially in NYC. A certain mayor is too busy banning smoking than trying to help the homeless. His time will come and hopefully its soon. Yes your right I cannot stand him. Over 60,000 Veterans live in the gutter alone with countless children but lets ban smoking. Hitler has been reincarnated!

We say a prayer for Grace Farrell knowing that Life is a beginning and has an ending. Grace began against the odds and was overwhelmed. God has her now.

I didn't know this woman, but for me she has put a person and a name to the lack of compassion in our world. Grace. I wish someone had a picture of her. To God's mercy she has gone.
