The changes to the system that Schumer is talking about are in HR 3012 which would lift the caps on lower level immigrants from India, thus making it virtually impossible for people elsewhere in the world to come to the U.S. due to the insatiable demand from India that would cripple the immigration system.
The proposed E3 allotment for Ireland may fix the problem for the Irish, but Senator Schumer, what about the rest of us? Please don't bundle the Irish E3 with HR3012, and please don't support HR3012 at all. We need a comprehensive fix, not piecemeal tinkering that will crash the system.

Ciaradexy so Georgie Di-loon has revised his figures upwards to 12.3 million a day.So that's what the main headline on the Cork Evening Echo was about. It read "Fat despicable little dwarf counts immigrants at Irish Airports"

Prior to this recent economic downturn, the demographics of Ireland were such that the Irish would find themselves a minority in the old country within forty years. This recent migration trend will certainly escalate these statistics.
The leadership of Ireland seems to dwell on a blame strategy which tends to turn into a form of class warfare; public sector workers vs private sector employees; pensioners, banks and mortgage lenders, immigrants, persons on the low strata of society who must survive on the dole and are a burden on public services.
The need for social change is inevitable if the Irish are to survive as a nation.
Can any of you see the possibility of Ireland returning to agriculture as means of staving off the destruction of their civilization?

Ireland's sad loss is our gain. A gain that was not won but is closer to a blessing.

easy,we are losing our children like we always have,so,(for f s)dont call this racial,i wouldn't care if they were albino,s, or sky blue pink,WHY when things are the way they are are we letting even more people in to take welfare, take job,s take up hospital places, etc etc,it just does,t make sense,EXCEPT to the social planners and manipulators who want a global economy,no borders,no individuality of nationhood, political correctness,to stifle legitimate fears and debate, people need to wake up to what t,f, is happening.

Thanks to arx754 for his supercilious, patronizing attitude. However, I don't agree that "there's a huge backlash against all immigrants to this country". What i have noticed in this upstate region is that there is strong opposition to illegal aliens, especially when they are a burden to the local taxpayers. But I'm not aware the least hostility to immigrants who legally entered the U.S., especiaaly those of us who have honorably served in the nation's military.

Sirpete, BRILLIANT! Your info is inaccurate though. 12.3 million Polish people are moving to Ireland everyday. Infact, theyre forcibly kicking our children out of school and putting their own in! Why only yesterday when I was in work, a Polish lady killed 3 babies to make room for her triplets! Pesky Poles!

I'm an Irish-American living in the US.
I hope the Irish immigrating here have VERY thick skins.
From what I've been hearing, there is a HUGE backlash against ANY immigrants to this country.
Used to be that if you were a "white" immigrant, there was an acceptance. Now, even that no longer true.
It's the economy, jobs. People are living in fear and lash out at anything even if it might be in their best interests in the long run. They just don't see that.
I'd suggest, if coming here, you learn how to do an "American accent", but then many of us would be short-changed because I LOVE the Irish accent....

Why do some people still insist that Ireland had a Celtic Tiger?.........The Celtic Tiger never existed.......Ireland went through a period of time where some of the dumbest people in history wasted huge amounts of money on financing pretentious American Corporations who would rather get their money from Politicians than customers........These people quite literally asset stripped Ireland and gave it all away........There is no evidence that Ireland ever had a Celtic Tiger, just some really dumb people who should never be running a country.

No sigh of Georgie Di-loon.I'll write this one for him.~~~Here I go!!This is what happens when you allow mass immigration.355,000 Irish nationals have emigrated in six years. But what about the 5 million Polish that are moving to Ireland every week displacing the Irish.Soon there won't be any Irish left.Don't forget all the horses and swans that the Eastern Europeans eat too.Oh!!Nearly forgot to say!!The Irish are stupid.~ Done!!
