Stevenstar - well, I am Irish born and I have heard some rot inIreland about Americans and others; usually uninformed crap, much of it by people, including my own relatives, who have never been a mile from a cowsh-t in their lives.

The more attention people give to this kind of behavior the worse it will get. Try and ignore people who do this they are just trying to see how many people they piss off. It's not nice but maybe they're nuts or it's their idea of a joke. Don't let it offend you.

This is sickening! I'm sure there are anti-Italian slurs in that tower as well, but who has time to go to every floor? All should keep in mind the low intelligence level and low decency of these individuals. No, not all construction workers are of this ilk. However, there seems to be a large minority among them that gets its kicks by vilifying ethnicities other than their own!

England's handiwork and carried forward by loving Cousin across the pond.
It seems that Irish slavery has escaped many texts, and therefore the entire education of many. Surprised to learn that there were Irish Slaves in the Caribbean?
Over 100,000 young children who were orphans or had been taken from their Catholic parents, were sent abroad into slavery in the West Indies, Virginia, and New England, that they might lose their faith and all knowledge of their nationality, for in most instances even their names were changed.

Are these scurrilous bits of grafffiti protected by 'freedom of speech'? Since the mainstream media considered it acceptable for the 2008 Democratic presidential candidate's favorite clergyman to say from the pulpit: "I call on God to damn America", it ought to be equally acceptable for someone to write that the Irish should take a bath (when needed).

This is not newsworthy, unless you consider back when one was a child writing something like "Sister Mary wears combat boots" to be newsworthy.

Soccer hooligans from Birmingham or Manchester.
It's good to be reminded that they didn't roll out the welcome mat when our forebears arrived. My young men were never called "dirty micks", but my great-grandfather certainly was.
