Kinda brings a tear to your eye don't it?
Dear Portia777...what on earth have you been drinking?? The Holy Father "told" the Queen to come??? Most ridiculous statement I've ever heard. Just in case you did not know, the Queen is NOT a Roman Catholic. I agree with Hyattsville, Prince William does seem quite likeable and intelligent, after all, look who is his Mother!! Can't we put the hatred to rest now?
"Many people won’t understand not being able to go somewhere or see something for your life and being almost like a child not allowed to go into a certain room." I'm sure thousands of Irish peasants who were denied access to their homes and lands by their English masters knew that feeling well.
Prince William comes across as likeable and intelligent although I’m sure your frequent contributors, who are in possession of neither trait, will say otherwise!
"Many people won’t understand not being able to go somewhere or see something for your life and being almost like a child not allowed to go into a certain room." OMG, can people be so blind as not to SEE why she came and why it was so important in 2011. The room she was after was Cashel. She was ordered by the Pope to come and do her duty for him and she does as she is told.
Especially a room she once owned.
I feel better after that little pat on the head.
The visit did offer some optimism for her. Little else did, except the seemingly sensible marriage of William to someone he actually knew well.
