Creaky your begrudgery is terrible. And you getting all those golden oldie freebies.Come on now Creaky the EU is one big family. It's all give and take. The krauts got their free lunch by having an undervalued currency. They made big bucks out of this Euro caper. That's as good as a bailout or money in the Bundesbank. We all know this Creaky.Look at all that Cork oil and gas and yummy fish we are giving away for nothing to Europe. That's how it works Creaky.Look at it this way Creaky it's a lot better to be vastly overpaid than vastly underpaid.Anyway Creaky it's all just the ebb and flow of the economy. As for the Brits working. They are swinging the lead I think. My Brit investments aren't returning half enough.

Creaky Calling ... Creaky Calling ... Curpeter, given the almost and unusually intelligent and amusing tone of your splutter @10.34, I have to be fair and admit I snorted at 'Londonistan' - very good! Of course there are area's which are almost dominated by incomers and their descendants, and they are generally very welcome and contribute greatly to the healthily mixed society.Btw: immigrants of make up only 3% of the 60 million current population of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, so there is no trouble finding a spot in the Shires, old chap! Yeah, Britain might be under pressure at the moment, but it's far from 'broken'. It will no doubt get out of the difficulty by pulling together and working hard first - before rolling over like mad dog Ireland and begging for a bailout from countries where the population works and pay their taxes properly! Despite the Bailout, the place will still slide further down the pan until the State and Population realise thet are living in a cloud cuckoo land of vastly overpaid Farm Subsidies, Salaries,Pensions and Social Welfare Payments. Britain works for it's own living - Ireland should try it one day! Slainte!

Hey Creakygate..You give all the bowsies hell.I like that.Speaking of lost territories. Now that we see eye to eye. What are we going to do about Londonistan?Do you think the title of Carrickfergus being bestowed on William and all this visiting is because they can't find a white spot in the Shires?White Shamrocks? They know Britain is broken.

Another rambling mess of thought fragments from towntroll complete with random exclamation points. Only a political imbecile would assert that the German Royal family residing in england are anything but showpieces for brtain's ruling oligarchs (who will keep the foreign cheap labor flowing in until the phony british identity is completely eroded).

Excuse me, dear reader, while I bash a few bowsies! >>> Ciaradexy @ 06.09 - is so unfamiliar with a healthy sex life, she thinks a Building is a sex object! ~/~ Mamaginnty complains about Enda Kenny earning too much money; but would she care to reveal to us how much unearned money she has extracted over the years from hardworking Irish /German Taxpayers, and how much she is currently raking in?! ~/~ Kurtjohnson @12.06 - 11 displays his ignorance by not recognising the famous quote from Patriot Robert Emmett's Speech from the Dock! - and accuses Emmett of class racism!
On the Royals he is completely lost: Of course they don't wield Absolute power as in the foggy old days of yore, where the Shamrocksiders choose to set their minds, but Reign over a wonderfully successful Parliamentary Democracy of over 60 million people. Shamrockshire should try it sometime! As for the Title of Carrickfergus being bestowed on William; only a total fool would ignore such a clear marker (of the White Shamrocks on his collar and all over her wedding Dress) as to the intention of the British Establishment regarding their 'lost territories'! WE are saved by IrelandNorth's sensible acceptance of the prospect, although he mistakenly refers to her visit to " the greater part of Ireland" - no;she already owns that!

Our current Taoiseach Ó Cíonnaith/Kenny seems to have lost the run of himself. Throwing royal invitations around like snuff at a wake, while the already overburdened Irish taxpayer are paying off the debt for last years' shin dig. Could be 90 years before we can cater for Will (Liam) and Kate (Cáit). Since Gran insisted he wear Irish Guards uniform for his wedding (King Willian IV - of Scarlet?), perhaps Her pleasure is for a nullification of the constitutional seperation/divorce between Britain and Ireland. Her visit to the greater part of Ireland was also described as accessing a room which She had been locked out of for so long. Only a room - in a four roomed palace? And Her Christmas address, on the importance of 'family', after Her "partnership of equals" reference in Her Dublin Castle Queen's speech to "A Úachtaran agus a Cháirde[/Mme President and Friends]". Still, if all this entente cordiale is necessary to calm the besieged Ulstermen, so be it. Could handle a Commonwealth much more than realm. And if the school teacher plays his cards right, he might be the first Taoiseach in Anglo-Irish history to receive a peerage. Arise Lord Mayo.

Unrealist lol..Oops!! Did I let the cat out of the bag? I meant to just say GFA.Unrealist there was a Unionist problem for the Brits since 1910 when the Ulster Unionist Council formed a secret committee to oversee the creation of an army in Ulster to fight against the imposition of Home Rule. The Brits NEVER wanted to partition Ireland. They knew it was going to be useless to them economically due to disunity in NI.It's about economics and control. It's always about economics and control.Partition was all about economics and control. The EU is also about sharing economics and control and closer integration. Are you getting the picture yet? Power sharing was the key. That's what 1910 was all about.Unionists holding on to all the power. The true reality is partition has failed, the Unionists have lost what they had,the Republicans have gained and still NI continued to fail economically as a viable entity. That won't be allowed to go on indefinitely by the UK,Ireland and the EU.Reunification is the viable economic option to the UK,Ireland and the EU.So who is the problem?

sirpeter: "the GFA/Reunification Process"? Lol is that what they're telling you now? Well I'm glad you think so. "The sad thing about all this is that the British set this up. This is the British answer to the Republican problem in Ireland. It’s a British solution, it’s not an Irish solution. It’s not a solution that we have control of"...."Never in the history of republicanism was so much sacrificed and so little gained...."....but then Brendan was not as easiliy pleased as you....lol.

"
"Of course the future King Billy II and Queen Catherine will want to pop over and check out what the territories they may wish to restore to the British Monarchy."
The irony being that the "royals" haven't even held real power in britain since bill the orange I.

To anglo materialist degenerates such as towntroll, "place among nations" means slavery to trans-national ideologies which are not only destroying the common classes in Ireland but also in britain. Admittedly, the creole language which has come to be known as "english" is ugly but efficient in terms of business dealings.

I have no problem with the royals coming to visit Ireland. I do have a problem if the Taoiseach fawns all over them, as Mr. Bruton did some years back when Charles visited. He told Charles that he was what all Irish people aspired to!!! In a word that was disgusting!!

Unrealist..LOL.Of course I'm concerned for their safety in Ireland. But only on a political level. As a supporter of the GFA/Reunification Process. It is paramount that nothing happens to cause strained relations between our two countries when all is going so well. There are some risks to their well being in Ireland. They haven't all gone away you know. You see you are getting it all wrong as usual.Lizzy "the hun" Saxe-Coburg and Gotha can rot in hell as well as her bloodsucking dysfunctional family.I still agree with that.Still we can hope something will happen to Willie and Katey so they can't come over.I'd say just about now the Royal family relationship dysfunction is starting to set in.Katey just might push Willie down some stairs accidentally on purpose hitting Charlie and Camel like a bowling ball and they all end up in hospital and save the Irish authorities the headache of watching out for their safety. As for Mountbatten's Imperial ass he's just particles of crab sh*t now.lol

Sirp, Towngate is male? I assumed it was some sort of hermaphrodite.
Abhainn, most Americans havent got a clue about anything to do with ireland except years ago some people starved, emigrated or did just fine or they still think the Irish and the Brits are involved in some sort of bizarre war. But youd be one of them seeing as youre not Irish yourself.
