Murph-I finally got my hands on some Black Lager yesterday. After the anniversary brew (Guinness 250), I was very excited to try this one. It was OK, and that's about it. Not as heavy as Guinness but with many of the same taste characteristics. I thought the 250 was WAY better!

Not a great idea! When he drank his pint in Dublin, Guinness fired 450 sales reps, the following day. They were let go because of all the advertising the President provided FREE!! When is he closing Guantanimo???? and REPEALING The Patriot act; much more courageous than drinking a pint of Guinness!!

Gee, Someone needs to send this to San Antonio, Texas' Paseo del Rio Association as they just gave Budwiser the rights to "their" St. Patrick's Day River Parade. Budweiser for something Irish?

Bud is a foreign beer owned by InBev so it is not an American beer anymore. Even if it was there are so many craft beers in the USA that I am surprised Bud is still in opertion.

I'm tickled by all the "elitists" on here dissing Budweiser. I prefer Smithwick's myself, but there's nothing wrong with a Bud, and it beats all the lite beers out there. And if Budweiser is supposed to be revered as such an American institution, why did Anheuser Busch sell its American brand and hundreds if not thousands of American jobs to the Belgian/Brazilians (InBev)?

I admire his taste in beer, but if he is promoting American jobs, shouldn't he drink an American beer?

Guinness as served in America is almost (I said "almost) as ghastly as the iced-water that goes by the name of Budweiser.

Imagine that a bar would smell like stale beer! When was the last time the WH press pool was in a bar? Used to be that bars in NYC used to smell like stale beer AND cigarettes...
