Good point, Ireland North. I suspect he got that Marx Brothers style motor-bike escort to the Airport, reminiscent of which one was it--Duck Soup? It's the only reason the Oirish Army has to exist, to drive the president around. What's the point of flying economy if you come and go from the airport with a dozen escorts? And this guy is a big "environmentalist"! How come he didn't take a taxi to the Airport and get ripped off by a Nigerian driver like the rest of us?

Ulster vs Leinster. Ireland vs England. Scotland vs Wales. Portugal vs Spain. France vs. Germany. Netherland vs Belgium. Norway vs Sweden. Finland vs. Denmark. Greece vs Turkey. Italy vs Switzerland. Etc. Etc. Is this what they mean by the European Union (EU). Or is it WWIII? At least Higgins didn't punch the Queen, even if some Orange Order "blood 'n' thunder" bands like to occasionally kick-the-pope. Since Pres. Higgins flew low budget instead of using the Govt. jet, could he not have gotten the bus to the airport as well.

Eastern Europeans are use to playing rough. It's part of their culture to riot and cause mayhem over sports. If government didn't hide the statistics and refuse to make them public the number of assaults, stabbings and killings by our "Migrant" Eastern Europeans would astound the punters. It's not nice news so the Irish government puts a lid on these disturbing figures.

ciarabythebay: "it's the Poles against the Croatians". You must be following the African Immigrant Cup being played in Phoenix Park, you dope. In Europe, it's the Croatians against the Irish. And the Irish lost. What a bummer. Not ... The only reason I would have to cheer for Ireland (26 Counties of it) is that I know the Nationalist people in Belfast identify with the team. They don't identify with the sectarian statelet where they are condemned to live, the one that you and other bigots (the poster OLoonsigh, for example) admire so much.

Higgins should be taking ground transportation after the enormous cost to the Irish taxpayer of his US junket. Not only did he spend enormous amounts of the taxpayer money, he also ponied up to the English wannabes in the US who participated in $1,000 and more a plate dinners, $2,500 benefactor only admission to his speech and other events completely the opposite of equality for the proletariat. Typical of those who give lip service to equality but don't practice it.

Murph46 can't read, it's the Poles against the Croatians, not the Irish. She needs new glasses or literacy training.
