I applaud the Pope for his words but what is he saying to the people who were abused? "Oops, sorry about that. My bad"? The letter should have addressed specific means of supporting and treating those who want it.

How can he tell the Bishops to resign, when he was giving them the marching orders of how to deal with abuse, for the past 25 years; first, as Prefect of the Doctrine of the Faith and then as Pope. When Cardinal Law of Boston resigned, he was not punished, but rewarded with a beautiful Basilica in Rome for his silence.

You know, he acts like; okay it was a mistake! What about those children. Those priest need to be burned at the stake. I am in the states but my parents were die hard Irish Catholic. We didn't get abused but, the crap that was drilled into our heads is unbelivable. I have to say, I am not catholic anymore and I did not raise my children to be catholic.
