Gabriele claims to be a whistle blower whose mistake was to believe that the pope did not know the extent of the corruption: "Gabriele told investigators he had acted because he saw 'evil and corruption everywhere in the church' of which the the pope was 'not sufficiently informed.'" But the leaked and published documents discussing Vatican corruption were written by or addressed to the pope. What's the truth in all this?
