COUNT DRACULA to be made a saint? this pharisee in roman purple garb was nothing more than a nazi dictator --a saint is someone who believes in christ not belief of christ , the apostle pauls letters begin paul reading to the saints who were hearing the content of the letter, , absolutley nothing to do with the unbiblical pope or the manmade roman catholic church. catholicabusesurvivorsni.com
It looks like an editor removed Mairint's post that I quoted and commented on at Jun 30, 08:16 AM. That's unfortunate because someone might wrongly think that I reported it as "Abuse." Perhaps Mairint asked to have it removed. Perhaps Mairint has decided not to use nasty words like "ignorance and hatred," or maybe mairint is learning to use a dictionary at least to look up the meanings of insults before writing them. We can hope for some little improvement!
Where are you Deano?? left the building??
They didn't do a good a job as the KGB who infiltrated the British Government and spy agencies. Remember Blunt,Burgess and McLean!! one almost had to be a card carrying member of the KGB to get a job with MI5.It was so bad the Americans would not share intel with the British. they claimed they may as well post the intel to Moscow direct. And to add insult to injury the secretary for war(Profumo) was sleeping with a prostitute(Keeler)and who knows whom she represented and then there was Mandy Rice.I suggest you worry about your own backyard Deano and leave us Irish and Irish/Americans alone. LOL...
Actually a whole lot to laugh at there,he looks and sounds like Bozo the Clown. LMFAO a saint whoo ho ho ho
Growing up in a non Catholioc family I can rememer watching Fulton Sheen with my Baptist Mother, she truely loved watching his show as did I. It would be great to see him made a Saint.
As a young man, Fulton J. Sheen had choices. He was offered several scholarships, but he decided to trust the Church with his education, and he became a brilliant author and inspiring speaker. If he were alive today, he'd be hedged about with worries of censorship and charges of heterodoxy. He would certainly not be given the free rein he had during most of his life, which allowed him to flourish as a teacher. What are the results of this recent crackdown on Catholics who think and speak in pursuit of truth? Well, we have one example right here in mairint, who writes, "what he says is still relative." Awwggh! "Relative" is the insult that Catholics throw at people whose opinions they disagree with, even before they look to find out whether those people really are ***relativists.*** mairint probably meant "relevant," not "relative," but mairint doesn't really know the difference or the importance! Perhaps you think it doesn't matter, and aren't I being nit-picky to point out a misused word.... Yes, but when we care about the truth, we try to say it clearly. We think twice before we accuse others of showing "ignorance and hatred," lest our own ignorance become laughable and our own hatred blind us to the truth in others' words.
when I was younger, I'd sneak in and watch Bishop Sheen. His words were magic to me and he was no interesting to a 5 year old. He seemed so kind and sincere.
Canonisation the RCC'S equivalent of the Oscars. Read one of his books once found it interesting.
Wow! I totally found this man to be a brilliant speaker and quite a spiritual priest. Bravo for bringing Bishop Sheen back to the light.
Portia is right Father Ted would be a better pick.
PR for the priesthood. I'm sad to see the memory of Bishop Sheen used for the Vatican's public relations scheme.
The beatification of Mother Teresa was conducted in 2003 and we are still waiting..................
I wonder what his "miracles" will turn out to be!?
A small "blip" on the radar, i.e, who cares except old elderly American Catholics?
