Who is this woman Detta O’Cathain ? Is she one of those Irish who use the Gaelic form of their name, but don't actually speak the language? It's a common trick of Irish poseurs. Speakling of Irish, it's striking that after all these months of blabber about the "Gathering", the Dublin government has still made no effort to provide an Irish language name for the event.
I agree with the baroness when she says that "We are a diaspora who can hold our heads high". But our contributions to our adopted countries and our personal achievents are all because of our own efforts, and the Partitionist politicians of the Southern Irish state have no right to clain credit for any of this. The Diospara Centre at Dún Laoghaire is a very good idea but I have this question about it: An mbeidh rudaí Gaelacha le feiscint ann agus teanga na nGael á cloisint san áit sin?
