Hi, Sir Peter. Let's remember that the USA did away with "back of the bus," and other such mistreatment of blacks and Southern States have in many instances have progressed more than Northern States in achieving equality. Furthermore, the USA had slavery--but the USA had a civil war to redress that evil and that war cost the USA the lives of some 663,000 citizens, most of whom never had slaves. Let's not underestimate, nor overestimate, the positive importance of the USA in world history. With regard to other countries, the USA could do better--but who would you send to help Libia, Somalia, Bosnia-Herzegovena? To his credit, Bill Clinton stepped into the latter while the EU dithered. Regards.

Quote" America led the way in the creation of the UN and the passage of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the UN in 1948."Unquote...Don't make me sick!! American multi-nationals have trampled over every human right in every third world country in the world. America is very selective when it comes to human rights even when it comes to Americans.Declaration of Human Rights in the UN in 1948..What a joke!!! And while declaring that!! Blacks were forced by law to vacate their seats on a bus to a white person and move to the back of the bus. America makes a living out of trampling on human rights. Don't think the people of the world is that stupid. You can be sure when the presidents of the United States use the word peace and freedom in every second line of a speech...Somewhere in the world some nation is having their peace and freedom taken away from them.

In my view, Congressman Peter King did not excede his authorities and conducted positively an important session on the role of American Muslims. America led the way in the creation of the UN and the passage of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the UN in 1948. Noticeably absent from signing were most Muslim States, who could not agree to Articles 18 & 19 on Freedom of Expression, freedom of Conscience and Religion. Instead, in 1994, they signed the Declaraction of Cairo, which omits recognition of such freedoms--as well as equal protection under law for women and minorities. We do not have to be mean-spirited in our dialogue with Muslims, but we do have to be open and candid about changes they will have to make as members of the world community. Regards.

@adrienain-Not sure what you mean. But if I found a pig wandering nonchalantly up and down the street outside.I would devise a means using food to lure it into my dwelling and eat it.

Does the pig reference make this an 'Irish' story?

How can you demand them to convert?! What if you someone said you have to convert to their religion? It is freedom from persecution based on religion that started this country so baaaaaack off. Such rigid thinkers and talkers. The more you push your fears the more they will realize themselves. Sorry you cannot see that for all your fears. What else is threatening you in your life.

I am also very afraid about the muslim threat here in America. No one wants to believe that these people are a danger to all , and this is one way that they become stronger every day. There may be some peaceful Muslims but I don't even care, let them convert to christianity and not be a threat
