As Liamkeyes said, let people have their parades, in the locations where they will be supported, not reviled. I still shiver at the idea of KKK or Arian Nation requesting parade permits to march through black or Jewish neighborhods. It seems that "small" people want to lord it over others. It is time for the mature members of the various groups to realize they can gain more respect and support and be more proud of their heritage when it doesn't include trying to belittle another.

I would venture to say that it's ok for the Orange Order to have their parade. Having said that, as long as they parade through their own neighbourhood and not try to march through the Catholic areas with "An in your face attitude". The same could be said of the St. Patrick's day celebrations as long as the Catholics don't act in the same fashion. This should be the outlook moving forward for both traditions.

This is the equivalent of Barack Obama saying that the KKK is a fine tradtion and a part of American culture. Somehow I doubt he will ever do that.
