Good luck to 'em! Somebody needs to be held responsible for the mess we are having to pay for.

The Roman rule was - to keep the Romans happy they only needed bread and circuses - now that someone has stolen the bread - we move toward Bastille Day. Bravo!!!!!!!

@Sirpeter - Poor Marie has had that hung around her neck for nearly 200 years. - It was the Duchess of Albans who said "let them eat cake" - not poor Marie.

Sirpeter: Sounds like you would have supported Marie Antoinette's response when told that the people were rioting because they had no bread -- 'Let them eat cake!' Throwing perks at the unemployed is not what's wanted, it's jobs!

Wall Street wrecked the economy three years ago and nobody's been held responsible for that. Not a single person has been indicted or convicted for destroying 20% of Americas national net worth accumulated over the course of two centuries.

Oh! We can't be having this at all. This is fighting talk!! Taking to the streets is not the Irish way.Ireland is not Greece you know.More Beer vouchers for the unemployed and free cable TV and Internet access.A free weekly massage to ease the stress of not working should be in order as well. The unemployed have to be kept happy. We want none of this over the top protesting.

I put it down to fluoride deprivation. The water was turned off up in Dublin for a day or two just before this lot took to the streets. Without fluoride they are no longer pacified and thus in the street. This is why people who climb mountains drink bottled water. You would'nt and could'nt get someone who drinks tap water up a ladder to clean windows. The only way to resolve this situation now is to give them free tea or coffee made with tap water. And a pinch of bromine in it to quell the hippies who are there I suspect for free love. That is all.
