Sucessive U.S. administrations are loathe to allow free travel,it's part of their illegal economic embargo on Cuba.Money brought in by expats would lift their economy by 25% (or better). The U.S. would rather see all Cubans live in poverty, unless they become a vassal state run by American interests.I find it amusing that diners and American express can be used in Cuba.

As an Irish-American Mom of two Cuban- and Irish-American children plus one grandchild I really want to see open travel to and from the US and Cuba. There are many descendents of US and Cubans who are suffering for not being able to visit their home countries and families. Let's speak to our politicians!

This is the definition of freedom theses days - The U.S. government telling Americans where they are ALLOWED to travel to. Is it any wonder people around the world would like to drop a nuclear bomb on Washington and that most Americans would jump with joy when it happened

"a lively Celtic tradition sustained by immigrants and descendants from Gaelic provinces of northern Spain." There should be more research done before some of these articles are written. There never was any Gaelic provinces in northern Spain. The only countries that qualify as Gaelic are Ireland, Scotland & Isle of Man.

THE MUSICIANS SHOULD DEFY THE BAN AND GO TO CUBA ! HUNDREDS, THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS DO SO EVERY YEAR --IT'S AN OUTRAGE AND IT'S OBAMA'S POLICY DECISION HERE, NOT BUSH'S.

The inaccurate headline on this article makes Irish Central look like trash news media. The person responsible should be removed.

The troupe should travel to Mexico or Canada and take the flight to Cuba. Travel bans are silly. If Cuba was open to USA travel, it would expedite the country toward an elected and democratic society.
