My nationality always applies to all of Ireland, as my U.S. citizenship applies to this whole country. During our last visit to Ireland, my wife and I spent a few days in the North, where we were guests of an active Church of Ireland member who has famiy connections with my wife, a New England Methodist. Our gracious hostess had organized a reunion of her immediate family a few years earlier, and the event was held in Kenmaire,Kerry. There is ONLY ONE IRELAND.

A great idea, the Irish economy can certainly use whatever help it can. But, count me out. I prefer traveling overseas during off-peak times, to meet the locals (except for maybe a few of the locals on this site, that spout their unwelcoming negativity with every post!).
