I wonder how the tabloid is going to work out in Ireland. Many tabloid readers are elderly, do not have internet, they were somehow underinformed concerning media matters. They could be described as horribly naive in some ways, but they are not cynics, neither are they pseudo-intellectuals who can never figure anything and certainly make practical decisions. From what I see in some super- markets is that tabloids are obviously not selling very well. In one supermarket the Sun was even placed upside down on a lower shelf, somebody in the shop maybe ashamed of still that rag delivered. It could be that those folks decide independently, on their own, the fate of the Sun, for one, their way. It could be at the end of the day that people are not that stupid nor cynical as often assumed to be.
