Carlow
Oozing style and sophistication beyond her years, Carlow’s very own Hollywood starlet wowed on the red carpet last week. Ardattin native Saoirse Ronan joined co-star Colin Farrell last Wednesday in London for the premiere of their new film, The Way Back. Word on the film-maker’s market is that the Carlow girl could be tipped for an Oscar for her performance in the film, which is based on Slawomir Rawicz’s memoir The Long Walk and tells the story of soldiers who escaped from a Siberian gulag in 1940.
