....What is even most magical is that the light from the sun and moon will appear in the chamber at Newgrange together. Prof Ray said “That will happen at exactly eight minutes to nine. The two happen to coincide to within a minute.” I am afraid the Prof's remarks must have been taken out of context. Around the time the sun would have been rising in the SE, the moon would have been setting in the NW. (Recall that there was a lunar eclipse around the same time.) There is no way the light from both could have entered the passage simultaneously.
Saw it this morning it was fantastic
When light from both the sun and the moon enter the chamber at the same time, politicians all over Ireland will simultaneously blurt out the truth. They'll be very embarrassed, of course, and immediately excuse themselves saying, I don't know what made me do that.

Note to journalists: Be sure you've got a camera close at hand and you're standing near a politician. An opportunity like this won't come again for another 450 years.
Incredible. Newgrange is an astoundingly humbling and inspiration place. The ingenuity that went in to the building of the burial chamber is truly one of the wonders of the modern world.
Every year those sixty people selected by lottery to be in the inner chamber disappear. No investigation, nothing.
