A new poll over speculation that Hillary Clinton may run for president in 2016 shows the majority of Americans would support her bid.
According to the ABC News/Washington Post survey, 57 percent of people would support Clinton as a presidential candidate, versus 37 percent opposed.
The research shows the current Secretary of State has 66 percent among women and the backing of 82 percent of Democrats and 59 percent of independents. Clinton, a Democratic candidate in 2009, also snagged support from 23 percent of Republican respondents.
In her current role, a full 68 percent of those surveyed approved of her position, while 68 percent approved overall.

The research shows Clinton does less well among nonwhites than did Obama, who won re-election with 80 percent of their support last month.

Clinton, who is currently visiting Ireland, is expected to step down from her State Department at the end of the year.
The former first lady arrived in Ireland on Wednesday as part of a four-day visit to Europe.
On Thursday she will deliver a speech on human rights at the Helix in Dublin City University (DCU). She will travel to Belfast on Friday to discuss the peace process and investment opportunities.

She did absolutely nothing for the people of NY State when she was their Senator. Absolutely nothing. She was an embarrassment and totally let down the people of NY State who needed her help, and still do.

Give me a break! Like there is anyone the Republicans have in their stable that would even have a chance against Hillary after Obama has been President for 8 years. America loves the Clintons. Bring on your best Republican, and Hillary will destroy him (the GOP don't believe in "hers" for President). But savor the times, we have Barack Obama for the next four (4 MORE) years!!!! Hillary in 2016.

It will be interesting to see what happens in a little over three years (close to an eternity in politics). I still don't believe Hillary has the genuine "fire in the belly" to make another run, and there hasn't been a genuine "draft" since Eisenhower, but stranger things have happened. She WOULD be a good president, but "LisaJHD's" bizarre post (Whitewater was investigated MORE than any other supposed "scandal" since Tea Pot Dome - LONG after it was proven that there was nothing THERE) reminds us that the vicious hounds of the Extreme Right who spent BOTH of the first Clinton Terms dogging that Presidency with unfounded "nusense" side issues to make sure no practical GOVERNANCE could occur and are prepared to do it again. They've tried to do it to the current President as well, but he has left them with fewer openings other than the losing veiled racism card they can't openly play, but they'd LOVE to put the old crooked game back in play against a Clinton, no matter how honest and popular.

Questions about Whitewater still haven't been fully investigated. What investigation was started in the 90s was sidetracked (intentionally) by Bill's sex-capades. There are likely illegal activities to be uncovered. And then there's the whole business of Benghazi and State's involvement with denying support and the stories and lies told after the fact. HC is not supported by this woman.

I'd like to know where and when these polls are taken, because none of my friends or I have ever been ask to take these "polls". Also I wonder if anyone every tells the truth in these "polls" if they exist.

Hillary will be 69 years old and she deserves a rest, to retire and enjoy it at that age. She can write a book or take care of Bill, who has had health problems. The liberals are being short-sighted and uncaring about this push.

Is this an old article or did the author lose track of time? Just asking

If this is true, it simply means that they want a Republican in the White House next...heaven help us! @JimmieM...Obama will be starting his second term in January...he cannot run again (unless he turns the country into a dictatorship...he just might get away with it, too, since we Americans seem to have our heads buried in the sand.
