This Tragic Disaster could have been avoided .if the speed of the ship were cut .The white star line was looking to set a record I blame the Captain also. he was the Man in charge for the safety of his passengers. not the Fat Cat owners of the white star line. very poor Judgement in safety was the real cause of this tragic Disaster. God have mercy on those poor souls who were lost that day.

It is and was a terrible disaster.Thinking about makes me very, very sad. I do actually pray for the souls of all who lost their lives on Titanic. However, the one person I pray for most was the very honourable Captain. Sadly he was "saddled" by senior bosses of the shipping company and that, must have been a very irksome burden to put with as in their greed for glory of breaking the time record for an Atlantic crossing, must have caused him terrible stress. R.I.P for them all.

This is great to hear. I have recently began to look for my Irish ancestors and have indeed found one of them to have been a survivor rescued by the Carpathia. Would love to see pictures.
