One of my first ceremonial occasions as a newly qualified two star private in the Irish Army in 1977 was as a member of a firing party at the funeral of an Old IRA Volunteer in a west Dublin cemetry. (My very own belated O'Donovan Rossa episode!) But then, that was a lifetime ago, when terrorism (sic) was an inescapable reality for him. And before the proletariat of his time gave birth to a petit-bourgeoisie who, due to their privileged circumstances, found it necessary to forget the inconvenient truth of their grandparental attempted symbolic regicide.
Bi-Partisan Bourgeois Sectarianism ! Another excuse to Polarize Irish Society in the direction of the Upper Class ! Down with the 1921 Treaty ! Down with the Good Friday and St. Andrew Agreements !
Well well, Patrick he is only charged with membership totally contridicting your earlier headline. Maybe wearing a black and white is suffice as proof of membership to what ever the authorities decide. But we`ll never know cause we don`t have to. Ruling by fooling is alive and getting healthier by the day in Ireland
@pilib04, they don't seem to mess with the human-trafficking cartel, either.
Who has been charged with Ryan's murder and how many arrests have been made. Oh, wait a minute, no one messes with the Drug Cartel.
