Returning war vets who are taught to shoot to kill, not to SERVE AND PROTECT,should not be hired as policemen/women.
Makes me feel sick that police would do this.
No since whatsoever. The police should take the hit on this one.
You get a call claiming a man with a gun is threatening someone at the address. You go to investigate, walk into a dark room at which point someone slams the door, enclosing them into the darkness. Heck, yeah, you fire your weapon because for all you know this was the armed man threatening the resident. Did the brother tell the cops that Kevin was a crazed phychotic with paranoid delusions or did he genuinely think there was someone trying to hurt his brother? If he thought there was a armed threat, why should the cops not believe the same thing? You can't have it both ways, even if you are Irish.
Very sad, were these police officers just poorly trained, stupid, reckless or all three. I can fully understand they have to protect themselves from a crazed drug addict but, with eight officers against one!, three shots, it's all over. It really does need investigating. I am not against police in any way, I come from a long line of police officers, seems this was over the top. My sympathy to the mother of the victim.
This story makes no sense. I wonder what really happened.
Yesterday's Daily News is today's Irish Central. Now, Ms. Hayes, I know what a copy writer does.
Wilson fired at least two shots through the door.It seems a very reckless thing to do. Luckily he didn't hit his partner. Is there no record of how many shots were fired through the door? What happened to the shot(s) of the unidentified trapped officer. Is this simply shoddy reporting or are these details unavailable?
