Great to see he's well and truly on the mend. Thank God for that. What a close call. It's an unenviable task policing the streets anywhere these days. A thankless task I intuit. Still, alongside the indispensable work of these NYPD and Garda Sionchana/PSNI, we also need a double strategy of social work to safely defuse the sullen anger of the dispossessed.

Thank God for Kevin Brennan. He is a member of that thin blue line that protects us all. What about Baby Ortiz? The Latin Kings are bad news. Is the vision of stability in New York that projected by Frank Reagan of "Blue Bloods"? Is there right and wrong and not victimization by our environment? Is Baby Ortiz just a "Robin Hood" thug who is taking from the rich? There are many who think so in the liberal community and in the mainline media. I personally vote for Frank Reagan.
