I hate to say this, but the sentences: "a Mauritian barrister said it is quite common for defendants to retract their confessions... They may claim that their had been coerced into making them", do not inspire confidence in the Mauritian legal system.

@cuddlybuddly Throw some water on the campfire, snuff out the joint, put down the guitar, and stop signing Kumbaya. The 60's are over, in case you didn't get the memo. How do you KNOW these men were "desperate" for money? They had jobs, didn't they? Maybe they had a drug habit to feed? Maybe they suffered from a combination of the three deadly sins: greed, envy, jealousy. Combined, these sins are known as begrudgery, the major character of the flaw of the Irish. BTW, are you really Bono in disguise/drag?

unequal money system caused this mess, perhaps if these men were not desperate for money they would not have looked on these people as opportunites for money? message:do not flaunt your wealth in a country that has poverty as more and more people will be robbed until WE do something about the poverty levels in this world.
