Michael D Higgins to contest Irish Presidential Election for Labour Party

One of my contacts in Ireland tells me Michael D Higgins will not tolerate disparaging remarks towards Ireland and its people by georgyboy on his website.This man is serious in his bid to be President of Ireland.

One of my contacts in Ireland tells me that this guy lost a lot of respect in the Irish Citizenship vote at the beginning of the 2000s, when he was caught lying. Basically it appears that he claimed that Nigerian children deported from Ireland would be left stateless, as the Nigerians would not admit them. That was a lie, as it turned out, the Nigerian government said it could never happen. Lying doesn't rule out a presidential candidate, as we know in this country, but it sure wouldn't make me want to vote for him!
