Well Celticbard, if you had kept up to date you would have known that Ms. O'Hara made an open statement to the press in Glengarriff, stating she had been betrayed and pleading for information and that the books be opened to her and her accountant. The Foundation won't do that and is holding out for the high courts. It's rather sad when someone you trusted won't let you see where your money has gone. The elderly are so vulnerable to people who operate in the guise of a friend - gain their trust and then abuse that trust to satisfy their own personal agenda. So very sad.
Something very fishy in Glengarriff. What's a starstruck Ballylickey housewife fighting Ms. O'Hara and her wishes ? Smells like low tide to me !
You got there before me celticbard .... why do people put comments like this up. Its just one person spinning off. People know better than to listen or be taken in.
Well Zorro986 – lets look at this another way :) - maybe the books have been audited and seen by investigators – maybe they were turned over months ago – maybe they didn’t refuse Ms O’Hara’s accountant or Ms O’Hara herself – maybe they do not need to defend anything because nothing untoward has gone on – maybe the truth really is as was disclosed in the Irish Examiner and nothing more!!!! Whose to say – you Zorro986?
It is so simple. If the parties involved have nothing to hide, those so-called “books” would have been turned over months ago. They refused an audit from Ms. O’Hara’s accountant and from what I’ve read – even refused Maureen, herself. That article keeps saying they’ve opened the books. To whom? The high courts? Then they should be exonerated and not have to be defending their capital outlay in a project that obviously got out of hand. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Hang in there Ms. O’Hara – the truth will prevail.
This must be very stressful for 92 yr. old Maureen O'Hara. I hope for her sake all the proceedings resolve quickly, so she can have her private life back.
